September through March is best, but this is private hunting, on private land, so you can come hunting any time you want – even on Sundays! The only limitations are practical ones – hair shedding and antler shedding. Accordingly, we begin hunting on September 1, and end March 15. The early part of the season provides the best calling opportunities and the most pleasant weather while the cape is particularly thick, lush and handsome in the late part of the season. Your choice! If you want to take a trophy in velvet antler, then we would be pleased to accommodate you in late July or early August. If you are planning a European style of mount, and are not concerned with hair shedding from the cape, then we may be able to stretch the season until early April. It is our intention to provide superior service and we will make every effort to accommodate your schedule. |
