“Kent took this fallow deer in addition to a non-typical elk that scored over 400 inches SCI. This fallow deer is an 8 x 9 – 17 pointer and scored 193 3/8 inch SCI! Kent used a 300 Winchester Magnum and a 150 grain bullet in both cases.”

“Jeannie took this beautiful fallow deer. She used a Remington 700 30-06 with a 180 grain bullet. She made a near perfect 175 yard shot while her target was on the move! The fallow deer was a 10 x 10 – 20 pointer and scored 194 5/8 inch SCI.

“Tom was really proud of his 6 x 6 – 12 point, 319 4/8 inch SCI trophy elk. He used a Remington 700 30-06 and a 180 grain bullet.  Tom, along with his wife Jeannie, were hunting at Area 23 with McKen Hunting.
They both left their trophies to be mounted locally. They plan to pick them up next season when they return to McKen Hunting and Area 23 along with some friends for another hunting experience!”

“Ross took this magnificent, 6 x 6 – 12 point elk at McKen Hunting’s Area 23. It scored 324 4/8 inch SCI. Ross used a Weatherby 300 and a 180 grain bullet.”

“Rodney took this 6 x 6 – 12 point elk using a Browning 7mm Magnum and a 175 grain bullet for the 100 yard shot. Rodney’s trophy elk scored 322 2/8 inches SCI.”

“Matt, holding the antlers, took this thick and impressive multi-pointer. The 7 x 7 scored 311 5/8 inch SCI. Matt used a 500 calibre muzzleloader and a 240 grain bullet. Matt made a perfect 85 yard shot. Matt was 11 years old and he already had two years of hunting experience when he took this trophy elk at McKen Hunting’s Area 23. Also pictured with Matt is Curtis Popowich. Curtis is  Professional Hunter/Guide Ron Popowich’s son. Curtis guided Matt to the successful conclusion of his hunt.

“Jim took this multi-point elk shortly after it had been spotted sparring with another big bull. Jim’s bull broke a couple of points during the sparring match. Fortunately, we were able to find the broken pieces of antler! The 8 x 8 – 16 pointer scored 348 6/8 inch SCI.
Jim used a Remington 30-06 and a
180 grain bullet for the 100 yard shot.”
Curtis was 16 when this photo was taken, and he also already had several years of hunting experience.”

“Richard enjoyed his hunt so much that he took a second, even larger trophy elk while he was at Area 23 with McKen Hunting!”

“Tom took this 6 x 7 – 352 inch SCI elk. The extra non-typical point was 10 3/8 inch over and above the 352 inches typical score!  Also, the inside spread of Tom’s trophy was particularly impressive at 50 6/8 inch!”
